Terms & Conditions

The important bits
- We make parts exactly to the file and specifications you submit, so please check them carefully.
- You pay upfront through PayFast before we start production.
- You must own, or have permission to use, the designs you upload. We keep your designs confidential.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Madvatise Marketing (Pty) Ltd trading as QuickCut, a private company registered in South Africa (registration number 2021/837184/09).
- Physical address: 24 Lewis Road, CJJ Industrial Park, Strubenvale, Springs, 1559, Gauteng, South Africa
- Email: info@quickcut.co.za (general) · orders@quickcut.co.za (orders)
- Website: quickcut.co.za
- We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our prices.
2. These terms
By using this website or placing an order you agree to these terms, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. If you order on behalf of a company, you confirm you're authorised to bind it.
If you are a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 ("CPA"), nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the CPA, and any term that would do so applies only to the extent the law allows.
3. Quotes and prices
- Our website calculates prices automatically from your file and the options you choose. All prices are in South African Rand.
- The price shown at checkout, including shipping, is the price you pay.
- If a quote is obviously wrong because of a technical error, for example a file that was read incorrectly, we'll contact you before production. You can then accept a corrected price or cancel for a full refund.
- Downloaded quote PDFs reflect our prices on the day they were generated. Prices may change after that.
4. Your files and specifications
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your files, dimensions, units, material, thickness, quantity, finish and bend information. We make what you submit.
- Our file preparation guide explains how to prepare files. If something looks clearly wrong or can't be manufactured, we may contact you before cutting. We aren't obliged to check your design for fitness for your purpose.
- Parts are manufactured to these standard tolerances: cutting ±0.2 mm (typically ±0.1 mm on sheet up to 3 mm), bending ±1 mm and ±1°.
5. Your designs and intellectual property
- You keep all rights in your designs.
- You confirm you own them or have permission to have them manufactured, and that making them won't infringe anyone else's rights.
- You give us permission to use your files only to quote, manufacture and deliver your order, and to keep them as described in our Privacy Policy.
- We keep your designs confidential. We won't share them except with service providers who help fulfil your order, or where the law requires it.
6. Orders we may refuse
We may decline or cancel any order, with a full refund, if it appears unlawful, would infringe someone's rights, could be dangerous (for example firearm or weapon components), or can't be made with our equipment.
7. Payment
Payment is taken in full when you place your order, through PayFast. We don't see or store your card details. A contract is formed when your payment is confirmed. Production starts after that.
8. Delivery
- We deliver anywhere in South Africa by courier. Shipping costs are quoted live at checkout.
- Lead times shown on our website are estimates. We'll tell you if we expect a significant delay.
- Please make sure your delivery address and phone number are correct. Extra courier charges caused by incorrect details may be passed on to you.
- Ownership and risk pass to you on delivery. Parts damaged in transit are covered by our Refund Policy.
9. Cancellations, refunds and defects
See our Refund & Cancellation Policy. In summary: you can cancel for a full refund before laser cutting starts, and we'll re-cut or refund parts that are defective because of us.
10. Your account
Keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
11. Liability
- Our parts are made to your design. We aren't responsible for whether your design is suitable for its intended use, for example its strength, fit or load rating.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss such as lost profit or downtime.
- This doesn't limit liability that can't be limited by law, including your rights under the CPA, or liability for our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
12. Website use
Please don't misuse the website, for example by trying to break its security, overload it, or scrape it automatically. Content on this website, other than your own files, belongs to us and may not be copied for commercial use without permission.
13. Complaints and disputes
If you're unhappy, email info@quickcut.co.za and we'll try to resolve it quickly. Consumers may also contact the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.
14. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
