6. Sending information outside South Africa
Some of our providers store information outside South Africa, mainly in the United States. Under section 72 of POPIA these transfers are allowed because they are necessary to fulfil your order or request. We also choose established providers that publish data-protection commitments for customer data.
7. How long we keep it
- Order and invoice records (name, contact details, address, what you ordered and paid): 5 years from the order date, as required by South African tax law.

- Contact form messages: up to 1 year after we last reply, unless they lead to an order.
- Analytics data: kept by Google for no longer than 14 months.
8. Keeping it safe
All traffic to our website is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to customer information is restricted to people who need it to fulfil your order. Our payment, email, hosting and order systems are reputable providers with their own security programmes. If we become aware of a security compromise affecting your information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
9. Your rights
Under POPIA you may:
- ask whether we hold information about you and get a copy of it;
- ask us to correct or delete it;
- object to us processing it, or withdraw consent you gave;
- complain to the Information Regulator.
Email info@quickcut.co.za with your request. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we'll respond within a reasonable time. We may have to keep some records (for example invoices) where the law requires it.
